The WAA Presents its First Virtual Annual Juried Spring Art Show
Time for a Refreshing Beverage – Becky Bucci
As we all know, the pandemic forced us to cancel our 38th Annual Spring Show. Now more than ever, “the show must go on.” Art has the power to unite and connect in times of crisis. Art transcends reality, unites people, inspires, and brings comfort.
The arts are one of the most powerful means for communication and coping which we have at our disposal today.
That being said, the Wilmington Art Association is excited to present this wonderful on-line gallery of curated art for you to enjoy in the comfort and safety of your own home.
What better time to enjoy and support the arts? All you need to do is simply click on the handy links to the galleries of beautiful art in the top menu or in the sidebar.
Over the years, the Wilmington Art Association has historically awarded scholarships throughout the area. This year, a portion of the purchase price of any art in this show will be donated to local food banks to feed those in need due to COVID19.
And remember your purchase from this virtual art show will help an artist and our community!
Vote for YOUR favorite piece of art!
The Winner of the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD will be announced in August. WAA will match the award amount with an additional gift to Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard.
Rest assured, this is the first of many virtual shows. We are committed to reinforcing future “physical” shows and expanding our audience.
Thank you for visiting!
Please be sure to visit our Donor Page. We are most grateful for these wonderful individuals and companies. Their generous support of the visual arts and our community is vital and much appreciated!
